Amynon Biotech GmbH, founded in 2002, is a private held company based in Innsbruck, Austria, specialized in the development of products that allow the early diagnosis of tumour-, age- and enviromental induced diseases.
Amynons first line of products, the PapTecŪ assays, are developed for the early diagnosis of HPV-induced tumour diseases, especially cervical cancer and other anogenital cancers. The products are currently in preclinical trials.
Cervical cancer screening is the largest existing screening market in oncology worldwide. Due to high infection rate and the low significance of existing diagnostic approaches there is a high market potential for simple, fast and safe diagnostic test procedures.
Amynon Biotech GmbH follows an efficient strategy to protect intellectual property and has filed several patents. The rights for production and distribution are licensed to partners from the pharmaceutical industry.

New competences for Amynon's team
Amynon could win two new scienific team members with high competence in protein biochemically processes and molecular biology.
Preclinical trial
After finalization of product optimization the first prototype of 'PapTec'- assay went into external preclinical trial with some austrian and german institutions. Aim is the proof of correlation between E7 oncoprotein detection, HPV testing, liquid based cytology and p16INK4a detection. Duration of the trial: 3 month.
